Education Caucus Nearly Triples in Oklahoma Legislature

Oklahoma City.-The Oklahoma Education Association was happy to report that the Education Caucus has more than doubled in the Oklahoma Legislature, growing from 9 members to 25 members.

“It’s clear that Oklahomans decided we needed more state lawmakers with classroom experience. In response to outcries across Oklahoma about the state of public education, Education Caucus candidates and volunteers took on the status quo and won. There are now more educators in the state legislature than ever before. No matter how you look at it, public education won” said Doug Folks-OEA Communications Specialist.

Teachers won. Public schools won. Most importantly, our students won.
