ENERGY FC TO HOST OKC CRUSADERS RUGBY CLUB MATCHES

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Crusaders Rugby Club will host their next home matches on Saturday, February 23 at Energy FC’s training facility at Oklahoma City County Health Department’s Northeast Campus. The Crusaders will take on regional rival Wichita. The women’s and men’s matches will kick off at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively. There is no charge for admission. 

The goal of the partnership between the two sporting organizations is to bring more use to OCCHD’s facilities, grow the sport of rugby and promote health and wellness. 

“The OKC Crusaders Rugby team has been playing out of OKC for 11 years, and the OCCHD training facility will be the best field that we have used in the region which includes Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, and New Mexico”, said President John White. “We could not be more excited to partner with Energy FC and OCCHD. We are looking forward to all our future opportunities together.” 

OCCHD’s Northeast Campus is located at 2700 NE 63rd St., Oklahoma City, OK 73111. 

Energy FC begin the 2019 season on the road against expansion club El Paso Locomotive FC Saturday, March 9. The first home match will be against Las Vegas Lights FC Saturday, March 16 at Taft Stadium. 

About Energy FC Energy FC are a part of the USL Championship, which is one of the largest professional soccer organizations in North America. Energy FC were founded in 2013 and established their first season in 2014. Energy FC make their home at Oklahoma City's historic Taft Stadium and are entering their sixth season in 2019.
