OSU Extension Offers “What About Winter?” Horticulture Workshop
Oklahoma City.-It is time to start thinking about how to prepare our landscapes for the cold winter months. The Oklahoma County OSU Cooperative Extension Service is offering a “What About Winter?” workshop. It will be held at the OSU Extension Conference Center, 2500 N.E. 63rd Street, OKC, OK 73111 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, November 16th, 2018.
This workshop will address winter landscaping tips, including how to create winter interest in a landscape. Also, learn what plants to prune during winter along with how to extend the season for vegetables gardens.
“Participants will receive information on what to do with their irrigation system in the winter months and what plants will need irrigation”, stated Josh Campbell, Oklahoma County Extension Urban Agriculture Educator.
Taylor Conner, Registered Dietitian, will demonstrate how to prepare healthy seasonal winter recipes along with a taste testing.
A registration fee of $5 is required and you may send payment to Oklahoma County OSU Extension Service, 2500 N.E. 63rd St., OKC, OK 73111.
