Hearing New Year OKC! Civic Center Ribbon Cutting
Oklahoma City se está convirtiendo en una ciudad con audición en el 2018. El Centro Cívico oficialmente "cortó la cinta" celebrando el sistema de Audición reciéntemente instalado. El sistema de audición esta conectado en el auditorio y transmitirá el sonido directamente en un aparato auditivo instalado con una bobina "T". Es en realidad un cable que se instala en cada piso, todos los asientos de caja, los soportes de la concesión y la taquilla también. Ana Covey, representante de Assist2Hear, que ha instalado este servicio dijo: "Esto es tan emocionante porque (el Centro Cívico) específicamente ponen este servicio de audio para invitar a la comunidad que ha perdido la audici’on regrese al teatro y experimente las Artes".
Oklahoma City is becoming a Hearing City in 2018. The Civic Center officially "cut the ribbon" to the newly installed Hearing LOOP. The hearing loop system is hard wired into the auditorium and will transmit sound directly into a hearing aid or Cochlear implant with a "T" coil. The LOOP is actually a wire that is installed on each floor, all of the box seats, the concession stands, and the box office too. Ana Covey, representative of the Assist2Hear, who installed the LOOP said, "This is just so exciting because they (the Civic Center) specifically put this hearing loop in to invite the hearing loss community back to the theater and to experience the arts."
