Oficial de policía de Edmond Reconocido por su Extraordinario Coraje y Profesionalismo
OKLAHOMA CITY – La Cámara de Representantes de Oklahoma reconoció recientemente al oficial Caleb Hodam del Departamento de Policía de Edmond por su extraordinario coraje, profesionalismo y resistencia mientras servía en el cumplimiento del deber.
Durante una parada de tráfico de rutina cerca de la calle 15 y Broadway, Hodam fue atacado por un sospechoso que lo roció con gas pimienta y lo apuñaló varias veces. A pesar de sus graves heridas, Hodam mantuvo la compostura, sobreviviendo al ataque y recuperándose por completo.
El representante Erick Harris, republicano de Edmond, encabezó el reconocimiento formal en el pleno de la Cámara de Representantes, en honor al servicio del oficial Hodam a la comunidad de Edmond y al estado.
"Hoy, honramos no solo las acciones del oficial Hodam, sino también el carácter y el compromiso detrás de ellas", dijo Harris. "Su altruismo y coraje frente al peligro son nada menos que notables. Estamos increíblemente agradecidos por su servicio y agradecidos de que se haya recuperado por completo. Harris le entregó a Hodam una citación oficial, elogiando su valentía y compromiso con la seguridad pública que definen a la comunidad policial de Oklahoma.
El representante Erick Harris, republicano, representa al Distrito 39 de la Cámara de Representantes de Oklahoma. Su distrito incluye partes del centro y norte de Edmond.
